AB stars for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL

Pune- South African batting supremo, AB de Villiers, continues to star and obliterate the bowling attacks of the opposition for his franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, in the IPL of 2016 at the MCI International Stadium on Friday. Reports Piet Lategan.

De Villiers and his partner in crime, Virat Kohli, dismantled the Rising Pune Supergiants on Friday as the Royal Challengers Bangalore chalked up a victory with 13 runs over their blitzed opponents. Kohli and De Villiers came together in the fourth over as they put on a blistering stand of 157 runs only to be separated again in the 20th-over as Kohli made his way to 80 off 63 balls with seven boundaries and two sixes and a particularly destructive De Villiers creamed his way to 83 off 46 balls with six boundaries and four towering sixes.

The Rising Pune Supergiants could never match the Challengers as they lost regular wickets and they could only make their way to 172/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Kane Richardson was in good form for Bangalore as he picked up 3/13 in three overs.

In the IPL of 2016 Kohli and De Villiers have now put on three consecutive partnerships of 157, 107 and 59 as they make batting look easy and the bowling rather mediocre with their ingenious strokeplay and Abraham Benjamin de Villiers again looks to be the cream of the crop.
